Mary Jane Saylor - Board Member

Mary Jane Saylor has been an avid family history research since she was 16 years old, when her aunt needed some young legs to tramp around hillsides looking for gravestones.  Thanks to their amazing discoveries, she has been fascinated ever since, and presently spends the majority of her time passing on research techniques to others.

Mary Jane served for two years as Assistant Registrar for the Salt Lake Institute (SLIG) committee, and presently oversees promotion of that program as Marketing Coordinator. She also serves as the Registrar for her local DAR chapter, where she enjoys helping prospective members trace their family lines.  She is trained in Forensic Genealogy, works with adoptees to help them reunite with their famlies, and recently began working with UGA's First Families of Utah project.

Mary Jane feels blessed to be married to an amazing man who understands her passion for family history research and supports her in her endeavors to help others in their quest.  She is the mother of seven wonderful children scattered across the globe, as well as the grandmother of three beautiful granddaughters.
